“Reggae Connection”
REGGAE
Mondays 6:00 PM – 8:00PM
Junor Francis was born and raised in the Farm District of Manchester Parish, Jamaica. Junor lived in New York for over a decade, before relocating to California for a change of scenery. He has hosted “Reggae Connection” since 1987 and showcases “vintage tunes that make listeners leap back through time, plus current favorites.” As Junor describes, “I think music got into me as opposed to the other way around! My love for music and radio began shortly after I was born really.”
In addition to hosting Reggae Connection on KSPC, Junor has hosted Pitzer College’s Reggae Fest and Kohoutek Music and Arts Festival as well as several other events around town. Discussing his musical connections, Junor states, “I have been somewhat busy in the reggae community. As luck would have it, I have been fortunate enough to introduce on stage some of the biggest names in the global reggae fraternity plus lesser-known artists that are domestically grown.”
