I grew up in New York, one of four children. My brother, Robin, gave me an early introduction to photography as he developed film and printed photographs at home. Since that time, photography has always been a labor of love for me. I shoot 35mm in black & white and color, and in 2017, I began using the Fuji X-T2, a digital mirrorless camera.
After my first daughter was born, I moved to Claremont where I lived for 27 years. I worked at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital as a Child Life Specialist on the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. I made personal connections with the people, patients, and families I worked with and I try to form the same emotional interaction with my photography. Since retiring, I have become solely involved in my photography and take a creative photography workshop that has enhanced my skills and opened my eyes to see the picture as a whole.
In working with the Treasury of Claremont Music, I tried to capture the essence of the people whom I had the honor of photographing.
